Pastor: Jim Tucker

Jim, a native of Leesville, LA, received his BS in Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University in 1985, and his MA in Management from Troy State University in 1998.  In 1985 he was Commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the USAF, where he served in both the active duty and reserves until 31 January 2006, retiring with 20 plus years of service.  Jim is currently working on his Masters of Divinity, with an emphasis in Pastoral care, from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He accepted his call to the ministry in the Winter of 2003, while serving an active duty Air Force tour.  Shortly thereafter, he served as interim pastor at Southside Baptist Church in Ruston, LA, until moving to Fort Worth to begin seminary.

Jim is married to Sarah, a native of Crossett Arkansas.  They both met while attending Louisiana Tech University and were married 27 Dec 1985.  They have two children; Kemp and Grant.

Jim’s objective – to encourage and equip the members of First Baptist Church of Everman to seek God’s kingdom that they might fulfill the great commission, draw closer to God and reach the community for Christ.

Youth Minister : Kyle Sullivan

Kyle grew up in Williamstown, KY. He accepted Christ two days before he began attending the University of Kentucky in 2001. He was called to the ministry while attending UK so he transferred to Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, KY.

While attending college, Kyle was active in ministry, taking several mission trips to Haiti, one mission to Russia, supply preaching in his county, serving as Youth Minister at Oak Ridge Baptist Church, and preaching each Sunday afternoon at the local jail.

He met his future wife, Rachel, when he preached for a youth lock-in at her church where she was involved with the youth ministry

Kyle graduated from CCBBC and Rachel from Georgetown College in May 2006, and they were married in June 2006, whereupon they moved to Ft. Worth in July 2006 to begin classes at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Kyle is currently pursuing an Advanced Masters of Divinity degree and Rachel a Masters of Divinity degree.

Kyle and Rachel currently have no children but hope to in the future.  They have a new puppy named Rylie who is teaching them their first parenting lessons.

Kyle plans to graduate in May 2009 and then possibly pursue a Ph.D. in Church Growth.

Kyle's objective - To lead our youth to love God, love people, and to lead the world to do the same.

In his spare time, Kyle enjoys spending time with Rachel, relaxing, reading, watching sports and wishing he had skills to play them, and, of course, gaming!

Music Minister : Steve Butler

Steve is a native of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Steve accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord at the age of 10 at Bluff Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and grew up in a Christian home. Steve has been involved in the music ministry beginning at the age of 13.Steve attended Westark Community College in Fort Smith where he earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Music in 1978. Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education at Arkansas Tech University in 1980.

Steve earned a Master of Arts in Regligious Education with a concentration in Youth Ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1994.

Steve has served as Music and Youth director at Grace Baptist Church in Tahlequah, Oklahoma,at Faith Baptist Church in Jenny Lend, Arkansas, and Fireside Drive Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.

Steve has served as Minister of Music in the following churches; Oakcliff Baptist Church, Fort Smith, Ark., First Baptist Church of Knoxville, Ark.

First Southern Baptist Church at Central City, Arkansas, Roland Hills Baptist Church, Roland, Oklahoma, Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cleburn, Texas as interim, Calvry Baptist Church and Alsbury Baptist Church, Burleson, Texas.

Steve married Rhoda Jane Edwards of Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1980. Rhoda is a Registered Nurse at Harris Methodist Hospital in the Cardiac Unit. Steve also works full-time at Kaiser Permanente, a health care organization. Steve and Rhoda have five children, four who are still at home, one grandson Tyler, and son-in-law Daniel Creed. The children's names are Kendra, Greg, Kellie, Katie, and Grant.

Steve's objective - " to lead people to Christ through testimony and music, to facilitate worship of God the Father, Christ his Son, and the Holy Spirit, and to help equip others to lead in worship through the music ministry of the church."
