What we love about our Pastor
Pastor David is a humble servant of God and is always ready to spread the Gospel to our community. He is always ready to minister to the church and to everyone. He is very kind and warm even to those he barely knew. The Holy Spirit is evident in his life and family.
Pastor - David B. King
Family: My perpetual Bride Vicki and I are 'empty-nesters'. We have 5 boys and 1 girl, we have 7 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Ms. Vicki grew up in the Air Force and has lived in several countries and several states. I was in the Army and have also lived abroad. We met when I joined the Army Reserves after my Active Duty tour at a Japanese company. We enjoy the blessings of family and adventures God has allowed us to have.
Favorite Verse: My favorite verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:22: “Abstain from all appearance of evil.” This was the only memory verse I required my Soldiers to memorize, and walking according to this verse can eliminate a world of trouble from our lives.
Saved: Like most Americans, I believed I was saved by saying a prayer of salvation and being baptized. It was years later that I realized there was no fruit (no evidence) that I was living a changed life. I repented and turned to Jesus with a real desire to know Him.

Meet Our Children's Minister
Our Children's Ministers are husband and wife. Ryan and Charlene are called to minister to children and young people alike. God called them to help the younger generations to learn about God and to train them to become Godly leaders in our community.
Favorite Verse: "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

My family moved to Everman in 1965 and joined the First Baptist Church of Everman in 1967. Married to Steve Sellers, together we have three daughters, eight grandkids, and three great-grandkids, I retired from Alcon Laboratories. Some of my favorite things are spending time with the family, crafts, crocheting, and gardening. One of my favorite quotes is, "Happy moments praise God, difficult moments seek God, quiet moments worship God and every moment thank God."

Youth Minister
As a youth minister, I have the desire to commit my life to the Commission that Christ has given to all believers—through the ministry of teaching. I believe that the Word of God is quintessential in our lives and sufficient for Christian living. The ministering of the Gospel to the youths in the present generation cannot be overemphasized. Therefore, I want to invest my gifts into the precious lives of the youths that God has brought into my care.
Favorite Scripture verse: “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6
