At FBC Everman, our children’s ministry aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which all children birth-5th grade can learn about our Lord and Savior, come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ, grow spiritually in Him, and become disciple-makers.



Birth-Kindergarten

Building a foundation of faith

Objective: for preschoolers to discover:

  • God is good
  • God made them            
  • God loves them       
  • God hears them
  • Jesus loves them     
  • Jesus is alive       
  • The Bible is true and the Bible teaches us about God


Strategy:

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn, play, and grow      
  • Teach them truths from the Bible
  • Minister to families
  • Offer opportunities for families to come together in worship
  • Provide family-oriented events throughout the year


Sunday Morning Bible Study

Lifegroups meet every Sunday morning from 9:30-10:30

Nursery is available for babies-two year old children during worship service. Worship service begins at 10:45.

There is a Wiggle Room located in the back of the sanctuary. This room may be utilized for babies and preschoolers and their parents.

On every 5th Sunday, the children may participate in Kid’s Takeover service in the Sanctuary. The nursery is not staffed on 5th Sundays during the worship service.

Curriculum

  • We use Explore the Bible in our preschool department. Explore the Bible is a book-by-book study that allows preschoolers to study all the books of the Bible every three years. Preschoolers will also learn Bible skills that they can build upon as they grow.


Wednesday Night Activities

Children’s choir meets on Wednesday nights at 6:30 from September-May. Children will worship through music and movement. Children practice for a Christmas musical, which will be performed in December. Open for preschool-5th grade.


First Grade-Fifth Grade

Building upon firm foundations of faith

Objective: for children to discover:

  • God is Creator and worthy to be praised
  • God reveals Himself to us as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit
  • God proved His unconditional love for people by sending His Son, Jesus
  • Jesus sits at God’s right hand and intercedes for us as our advocate, mediator, and high priest.
  • The truths in the Bible will last forever.  
  • The punishment for sin is separation from God.   
  • Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins.     
  • God provided a plan for salvation because He loves us. Salvation is the gift of eternal life in heaven with God.
  • Salvation is eternal. Nothing can separate Christians from God’s love.
  • A church is a group of baptized believers who meet together to worship and serve God.      
  • Families are a part of God’s plan for providing for children’s spiritual, physical, mental, social, and emotional needs.
  • How to tell others about Jesus.

  • Partner with parents to lead their children into a relationship with Jesus.
  • Provide a safe, loving, and fun environment for children to grow and learn all about God.
  • Study the Bible together.
  • Offer opportunities for families to gather together in worship.
  • Provide family-oriented events throughout the year.


Sunday Morning Bible Study

On every 5th Sunday, the children may participate in Kid’s Takeover service in the Sanctuary. Children have the opportunity to worship through song on stage, pray, read Scripture to the congregation, and help collect tithes and offerings.

Curriculum

Our 1st-5th graders use the Gospel Project Curriculum.

Gospel Project is a Christ-centered curriculum that studies the Bible chronologically for a 3 year span.

TeamKID meets every Sunday night from 6:30-7:30

TeamKID is a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him. All parts of TeamKID-Bible study, Scripture memory, life application, missions, and recreation-connect to teach life lessons to children.
