Minister of Music: Rob Bourcier
As our Minister of Music and Student Ministry, Rob’s passion for Christ is clearly seen in how he leads our church in praising God in song, as well as how he encourages our students in pursuing their Lord in Scripture, as they grow in Christian character. Rob has for many years been actively involved in mentoring students, as well as making music in the churches he has had the joy of serving.
Born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1967, Rob surrendered his life to Jesus at the age of 8 years old during a revival service led by Bo and Dick Baker, at Oakland Heights Baptist Church in 1975. He attended Dallas Baptist University where he met Brenda, and in May of 1992, he married his best friend. “Aside from Jesus Christ, if there was one person that changed the whole paradigm of my life, it would be Brenda, my “Wife for Life”! For over 30 years she has proven to be, God’s gift to me!” They have been serving in church ministries all their lives. The Lord has blessed them with three sons: Micah, Luke and Ethan. They are devoted members of FBC Everman. They balance their love for ministry and family time by having set aside Friday’s as family night!
In his reading chair you will find two of Rob’s favorite authors, Fredrick Buechner and Larry Crabb. Rob is currently reading “Shattered Dreams” by the latter. In his car’s CD player is Branden Heath’s “Blue Mountain”! For hobbies, he enjoys playing golf, as well as bass fishing.
