What we believe
Rooted in the Word. Centered on Christ.
Our faith stands within historic, orthodox Christianity and the Baptist tradition.
We gladly affirm the Apostles’ Creed and Nicene Creed as faithful summaries of historic Christian doctrine. Our fuller doctrinal standard is the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 →
The Scriptures
The Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word. It is our final authority for faith and practice.
The Triune God
There is one living and true God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in divine nature and distinct in person.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived without sin, died as our substitute, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to heaven, and will return in glory.
Humanity and Sin
Every person bears God’s image and possesses dignity, yet all have sinned and stand in need of reconciliation with God.
Salvation
Salvation is by God’s grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Those who repent and trust in Jesus are forgiven, made new, and kept by God’s power.
The Church
The church is the body of Christ. A local church is an autonomous congregation of baptized believers who gather for worship, fellowship, discipleship, mission, baptism, and the Lord’s Supper.
Christian Life
The Holy Spirit indwells believers, conforms us to Christ, gives gifts for service, and empowers us to bear witness to the gospel.
Last Things
Christ will return personally and visibly. The dead will be raised, God will judge in righteousness, and His people will dwell with Him forever in the new creation.
