Our Story

First Baptist Church Everman was established as a church in 1870.  Many theology, educational, and music students from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS) have served at First Baptist Church Everman (FBCE) in various positions over the decades. Our current staff includes 5 doctoral students and 1 masters student. The Lead Pastor began his pastoral ministry at FBCE. We welcome students who are in the Fort Worth area temporarily and those who plan to make a home south of Fort Worth. Our members have come from Burleson, Everman, Fort Worth, Irving, and Mansfield. Many professors at SWBTS have served as interims for the church over the past several decades as well. The current Pastor has purchased a house in NE Burleson with the intention of serving his days pastoring, discipling, teaching and training church members and Seminary students. Come grow with us!

Although we are a small church, we support our community in many ways. We have a food pantry that provides food at no cost to our community. We provide back-packs of food for children at our local elementary school who may go without food over a weekend. We visit and meet those in need of food, transportation, and spiritual guidance weekly outside of church time. Our vision is to share the gospel with all we meet and disciple those who become Christians. We have zero boundaries on evangelism.

We are intentional about reaching our community with the gospel. Our church is becoming more international and will be intentional in reaching places outside our community as we grow under God's guidance. Currently our men meet weekly for discipleship and we are growing together weekly as well. We have blog posts being planned by members of our church. We have 5 doctoral students who are bringing their knowledge to the body. The church also has 3 MABC members who offer Biblical Counseling at no cost to those within our church and community. We are headed in the direction we, as a body, feel God is leading us. Come grow with us!
